Holy Jubilee Rome 2025

If Rome and Italy are apart of your 2025 travels then time is of the essence to begin planning.

On 24 December 2024 Pope Francis will open the Holy Doors at St. Peters followed then by the opening of the Holy Doors at St. John Lateran, St. Mary Major and St. Paul Outside the Walls ushering in the Holy Jubilee 2025.

Up to 35 Million Pilgrims are Expected in Rome

What is the 2025 Jubilee?

“The Jubilee is a special year of grace, in which the Catholic Church offers the faithful the possibility of asking for a plenary indulgence, that is, the remission of sins for themselves or for deceased relatives.”

In order to participate in the events one must register for a Pilgrim’s Card which will be needed to take part in the main Jubilee events and to organize a pilgrimage to the Holy Door.

What does this mean for Tourists and Pilgrims?

With the last two years already seeing a steady increase of tourists visiting Italy the addition of the millions of pilgrims will bring an extraordinary high demand for lodging and cultural sites. Hotels and tours are likely to begin quickly selling out – in fact speaking to my partners December and January are already becoming limited.

Thus it is imperative to begin planning your travels for next year and, by working with me, you gain my expertise on navigating this very special time in Rome.
