Meet Starr

Hi! I’m Starr, your history-obsessed, pasta-loving, wanderlust-filled boutique travel designer.

I’ve been involved in the travel industry for the past 25 years. After having attended travel agent school in the ‘90s, I’ve worked at a travel agency specializing in Western U.S.A. travel and ski trips, designed and escorted small groups through Europe, and offered walking tours in Italy.

But my love affair with travel—that is deeply immersive, eye-opening travel—began long before then.

Your boutique travel desginer

As an Air Force Brat, I was lucky enough to call Ramstein AFB in Germany home for part of my childhood. Living in Europe meant I grew up on German schnitzel, French cheese, and Belgian chocolates. I spent vacations marveling at the Marienplatz in Munich, climbing up the steps of the Eiffel tower, and learning to ski in Austria.

Nearly every weekend my parents would plan trips to discover the most fascinating sites in Europe. My favorite was attending local village festivals, where we learned about traditional customs and fascinating local lore. I soaked up every single minute of it—and I was heartbroken when we had to move back to the states.

But my love of travel was firmly cemented. Fast forward to 2014, when I moved to the charming Tuscan hill town of Cortona with my own son and daughter in tow, to introduce them to a new way of life. I was so excited to share the thrill of discovering someplace new—that heady mix of history, culture, and curious culinary delights that lights up all your senses.

Now that my children are grown, and are off creating their own adventures, I have returned to where my love of travel began. In 2022 I moved to a Bavarian village just south of Munich.

Meet Theresa

Theresa’s journey is rooted in over 30 years as a dedicated educator and instructional designer. Known for blending heart, humor, and hustle, Theresa spent decades mentoring teachers, designing engaging learning experiences, and leading impactful community initiatives.

Now, she brings that same passion for connection and real-world learning to the world of travel.

Having explored iconic destinations such as Istanbul, Paris, Amsterdam, London, Rome, St. Martin, and U.S. favorites including New York City, Los Angeles, Boston, New Orleans, Mackinac Island, and Chicago, Theresa understands firsthand how travel can educate, inspire, and transform. With insatiable enthusiasm, meticulous attention to detail, and a genuine love for connecting people with places, Theresa curates travel experiences that are seamless, personal, and enriching because great trips, like great learning experiences, should inspire wonder and be remembered long after the journey ends.
